I was wondering when does your comps cast for non-musicals?
We haven’t set a date but if you watch the audition page, it will be announced there. It will be somewhere around the end of February to the first of March. The show is Mouse Trap and it goes up in June.
We only do one non-musical a year. Our next show will be next year in May or June. We don’t have dates, yet, but the dates are being negotiated and will be up on the website soon.
Mousetrap goes up June 7-9, 2019.
Any news on audition dates? Been watching the site nothing… 😦
We will be adding specifics on the characters this week.
Audition dates have been posted on the audition page for Mousetrap. March 15th and 16th at the PRT Space. Details are on the Audition page.
Can a 6 yr old audition for singing and dancing parts?
We will be having a meeting this Wednesday to talk about the age limit. As of right now, the age limit is 10 years old or older. We will post here on the website and on the PRT Facebook page on whether or not we will accept younger than that for the Sea Creatures.
We will not be accepting any children under the age of 10. However, there is a theater company in Lancaster that uses a lot of children of all ages. Here is the website: http://acavec.com/arbor-court/
Can my daughter who has experience in acting and is 10 years audition?
As of right now, the only opening for a 10 yr. old is for a boy. We will be meeting with the City of Palmdale next week to discuss the age limit for ensemble roles. We will post the age requirements here on our website and on our Facebook page.
Could you make an exception for a 14 year old girl to audition? Or is the age limit a legal matter?
Sarah, if she looks like she’s 15 or older there might be a chance for her to audition. That’s the best answer we can give you.
Do we need to bring a resume with picture…its been years since I’ve needed one?
It’s not required, but it can be helpful. We do have you fill out an application where you can list some of the roles you have had.
Thank you ~
What is the desired dance ability?
It depends on the role. Some roles require more dancing than others. This isn’t a heavy dance show. We hope that you will audition no matter how experienced you are with dance.
Hi do I need to have a membership to audition.
No, but if you are cast, you will need to pay a membership fee of $20.00.
how early do you think auditioning folks will start lining up on Friday – just curious?
I assume that The Palmdale Playhouse will be the performance venue for The Little Mermaid, correct?
Yes, that is correct.
Thanks!
advice please : Friday – how early do you suggest I start the line (lol) – seriously ?
We really don’t have any idea. We will be setting up starting around 3:00 PM and we plan on starting auditions at 5:00 PM.
Thank you so much –
For the roles marked TBD, by when will those roles be posted? I’m over here with my fingers crossed.
The TBD roles will be assigned to those who have already been cast. As rehearsals progress they will be added.
I heard that due to COVID-19 precautions, audtions for Legally Blonde are by appointment only. Assuming that is true, of course, I want to make an appointment, but see no way to sign up yet on the PRT website. How do I do that? Please advise. Thank you.
